Our Food List

This is a food list that we have complied and will be adding to. These are what works for our Sweetie Pie. Please always consult your doctor if you have a question about adding it to your diet.

Veggies: 
All veggies are safe for consumption accept for tomatoes and sweet potatoes as they contain fructose. Carrots, peas, and corn also have a small amount of fructose and should be consumed in small amounts.
So far Evan's favorites are cucumber and celery.

Meats/ Proteins:
People with GSD 1a should consume lean meats. We also use nuts, beans, and seeds as protein sources.
Evan enjoys: beans, sunflower seed, chicken nuggets, steak, pumpkin seed, peanuts.

Carbohydrates:
 Complex Carbohydrates are the best for helping to maintain blood sugar.
Evan's favorites:
pretzels, popcorn, puffed rice, cheerios, cheese crackers, Oat Fit 100 calories instant oatmeal, coucous, rice,
